Disabled people seek to submit report regarding convention on disabled persons’ rights to UN

Disabled persons’ groups are working to compile a report on the current situation of people with disabilities in Japan as the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will conduct a review of Japan’s implementation of the Convention.

Major insurance company raises annual overtime cap to 540 hours

Taking advantage of the government’s “work-style reform” proposal, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance increased the upper annual limit on overtime by 190 hours to 540 hours.

The ruling parties used their majority to extend the current Diet session. Unilateral extension of the parliamentary period just for the ruling parties’ convenience is an outrageous act that damages the proper functioning of a parliamentary democracy.
