JCP starts one-year course on JCP Program and scientific socialism

December 8, 2010
A one-year course on the JCP Program and scientific socialism was launched on December 7 at the Japanese Communist Party head office.

The JCP at its 2nd CC Plenum held on September 25-27 decided to run a course which provides a series of lectures about the JCP Program and scientific socialism for one year. This is the first time that the JCP is offering such a course to its members.

Lecturers in the course are JCP Chair Shii Kazuo on the JCP Program and Fuwa Tetsuzo, director of the JCP Social Sciences Institute, on scientific socialism.

JCP party members across the country can receive the lectures by attending a class at the JCP head office or through internal web services and DVD.

On December 7, Fuwa gave his first lecture dealing with scientific socialism. In his lecture, Fuwa introduced the classics of scientific socialism and talked about the times when Marx and Engels lived, and gave background information about Marx’s “Wages, Price and Profit” which is used as a textbook for his lecture.

Fuwa provided an explanation about the concept of “value of products” and “labor” using easy to understand language. He emphasized the importance of understanding the society governed by the rules of a commodity-based economy.

On December 21, Shii will give a lecture about the JCP Program.
