Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi attended Qatar’s National Day reception held in a Tokyo hotel on December 20. The reception was to celebrate the announcement that Qatar will host the 2022 Soccer World Cup, the first time it will be held in the Middle East region.

Ichida congratulated Qatari Ambassador to Japan Yousef Mohamed Bilal on becoming the host of the World Cup.
