JCP Chair Shii Kazuo on the evening of August 31 hosted a farewell dinner party for the delegation of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) headed by General Secretary Prakash Karat. The CPIM delegation visited Japan from August 26 at the invitation of the JCP.

Earlier, the CPIM delegation met with JCP Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi in the Diet, and with Fuwa Tetsuzo, JCP Social Science Institute director, at the JCP head office.
