Tamura talks with delegation of CPV theoretical magazine

June 7, 2023
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Tamura Tomoko on June 5 held talks with a delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam’s theoretical magazine “Tap Chi Cong San” led by its Deputy Editor-in-Chief Vu Trong Lam at the JCP head office in Tokyo.

The aim of the delegation’s visit was to promote cooperation with the JCP.

Tamura pointed out that the JCP-CPV relations based on friendship and cooperation have been developed significantly in such fields as collaborative efforts to build a genuine peace in Asia and the rest of the world. She expressed her gratitude for the magazine’s role played on various occasions including the theoretical exchanges. She said that the JCP hopes to strengthen information exchanges with the Tap Chi Cong San magazine on theoretical and political issues.

Tamura explained the JCP view on the G7 Hiroshima Summit in regard to the issue of the abolition of nuclear weapons, the party’s diplomatic vision, and its proposal to achieve a breakthrough in Japan-China relations. She said that the JCP considers that in order to create a regional peace, the important thing is to conduct inclusive diplomacy, not the expansion of military blocs.

In response, Lam said that he totally agreed with enhancing ties with the JCP. He said that Vietnam pursues the goal of becoming a developed country with modern productive capabilities. He also talked about the CPV view on the transition to socialism.

The Vietnamese delegation on the same day visited the editorial offices of the JCP “Zen’ei” magazine and the JCP’s newspaper Akahata, and held talks with Akahata Chief Editor Kogiso Yoji.
