JCP Shii extends condolences to Poland

April 14, 2010
Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on April 13 sent a message of condolence to the Polish government on the death of President Lech Kaczynski in a plane crash in Russia. Shii says:

“We were shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic presidential plane crash and the deaths of President Lech Kaczynski and First Lady Maria Kaczynska, as well as many other political and business leaders on board.

“We would like to express our deepest condolences to the families of all those who have lost their lives, and to the people and government of Poland.”

JCP Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on the evening of April 13 delivered the message to the Polish Embassy in Tokyo and signed his name in the book of condolences.
