February 24, 2013
The Police of Okinawa City on February 23 arrested a civilian attached to the U.S. Navy in Japan in the act of committing assault.

The arrested man is Joseph McMillian Green, aged 30. He reportedly denies having hit anyone.

The naval civilian employee allegedly hit a 29-year-old Japanese man three times in the face on the street in the city around 6:25 a.m. that day.

According to the police, when the Japanese man told him to stop pounding on the man’s car, the navy worker suddenly struck the man. The suspect is said to have reeked of alcohol.
