JCP and German Rosa Luxemburg Foundation set about theoretical exchanges

March 30, 2007
Fuwa Tetsuzo, director of the Japanese Communist Party’s Social Sciences Institute, at the JCP head office in Tokyo on March 29 met with Michael Brie, deputy president of Germany’s Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Board, and Evelin Wittich, managing director of the Foundation.

The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation is a research and political education organization working in cooperation with Germany’s Left Party.

Brie and Wittich made a proposal to conduct theoretical exchanges between their foundation and the JCP.

In reply, Fuwa explained how the JCP has carried out research on scientific socialism, and expressed his view on how to conduct the theoretical exchanges between the two organizations.

Prospects for socialism in the 21st century, peace and security in the world, and programmatic issues of the socialist movements in capitalist countries were proposed as themes to be taken up in the theoretical exchanges.

JCP Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo also participated in the meeting.
