US marine in Okinawa arrested for attempting to break into local woman’s home

Okinawa Police announced on August 31 that it arrested a U.S. marine on allegations of trying to break into a local woman’s residence.

According to the police, the incident happened at around 5:20 p.m. on August 30 in Yomitan Village. U.S. Marine Sergeant Isaac Edward Harkless, 26, stationed at U.S. Camp Courtney (Uruma City), was found attempting to enter the woman’s second-floor apartment. The suspect denied the allegation.
