1,400 citizens mourn for victim of the 1954 US H-bomb test


1,400 people, including foreign delegates, marched through the downtown area to a temple holding the tomb of Kuboyama Aikichi, a crew member of the Japanese tuna fishing boat Lucky Dragon #5 who died of radioactive fallout from the H-bomb test which the US conducted near Bikini Atoll on March 1, 1954. (March 1/2017, Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture).
