JCP leader stresses need for the party to be on the offensive on all issues

With the elections for the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly and the House of Coucilors two to three months away, the Japanese Communist Party chair has called on the party to be on the offensive to secure a JCP victory.

Speaking to the National meeting of JCP Prefectural Committee Chairs held on April 7 at the party's head office in Tokyo, JCP Chair Shii Kazuo drew attention to increasing anti-JCP campaigns by the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komei Party, emphasizing the importance of overcoming such attacks by exposing their reactionary role.

Referring to the ongoing opposition party cooperation, Shii reiterated the importance for the party to let the public know in more detail the value of the JCP in the nation's politics. (end)
