U.S. Marine in Okinawa causes another hit-and-run
An inebriated U.S. Marine has caused a hit-and-run incident in Okinawa.
According to Akahata of April 8, a 26-year-old Corporal, while driving a car on Route 329 in Kin Town around midnight of April 7, crashed into a taxi, and then left the site of the accident and fled to U.S. Marine Corps Camp Hansen.
The taxi driver suffered one-week injuries. The Ishikawa City Police was informed by the Marine Corps and found the Marine responsible for the incident. The Marine was found to be drunken. Police will send the papers pertaining to the criminal case to the Public Prosecutors Office. (end)
