Nestle's sacks union activists

Switzerland-based multinational food manufacturer Nestle's dismissed two union leaders on April 26.

The reasons the company gave for the dismissals of the vice chair and the secretary of the Kasumigaura Branch of the Nestle's Japan Labor Union were "walkout," "sabotage," "violence," and "abusive remarks" by them during a protest action of the union.

The union has announced that it will continue to struggle to get the unfair dismissals which are intended to destroy the union withdrawn. (end)
