Korea-related organizations sit together

Representatives of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Mindan) and the Korean Residents Union in Japan (Chongryun) sat together at the 37th regular meeting of the Japan-Korea Society on May 19 and 20 in Osaka.

South-Korea-related Mindan was represented by vice-president Koo Moon Ho, and North Korea-related Chongryun by international bureau deputy chief Cho Il Nam.

Mindan's attendance was the first in 46 years since the society was set up, and Chongryun's attendance was the first after an 18 year interval. (end)
