JCP TV ads released
Japanese Communist Party TV ads will be aired in June in the Tokyo area and in July nationally, for the first time in six years.
This is to help boost JCP publicity in preparation for the June 24 Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election and the July House of Councilors election.
JCP Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi released two 15-second ads at a news conference on June 5. "We hope they represent our viewpoint clearly, but assessment depends on viewers," he said.
In the ads, JCP Chair Shii Kazuo, standing boldly against the backdrop of the blue sky says, "I know how great the people's expectations for the JCP to change politics are." He shows how determined the JCP is to work hard by tightening his belt.
The JCP slogans, "Cut the consumption tax rate now" and "The JCP is clean and energetic" are shown at the end. (end)
