Canada's city expresses support for 2001 World Conference against A&H Bombs

The World Conference Against A&H Bombs Organizing Committee has received a message of solidarity and support for the 2001 World Conference (held August 3-9 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki) from the Regina City Council in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The message was part of the resolution adopted in the Regina City Council on June 25.

The resolution said:

"The Regina City Council sends greetings on behalf of the citizens of Regina to the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and to those attending the 2001 World Conference Against Atomic and Hydrogen Bombs.

"The people of Regina support the work of the Conference and its theme: 'Nuclear Weapons States Must Make Good on their Promise to Abolish Nuclear Weapons: International Cooperation and Solidarity Will Ensure the Future of the World.'" (end)
