Cuban Communist Youth Union secretary visits JCP head office

Nishiguchi Hikaru, Japanese Communist Party International Bureau director, received Otto Rivero Torres, first secretary of the Communist Youth Union of Cuba at the JCP head office on November 6. Rivero was in Japan at the invitation of the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

In the meeting, Nishiguchi explained the JCP position on the struggle against international terrorism, the struggle for jobs, and the JCP effort to increase party strength.

First secretary Rivero said that Cuba is consistently opposed to terrorism and wars. He also spoke about Cuba's national efforts to provide the people with better education and social services. (end)
