Fuwa meets with Hong Kong economic representative in Tokyo
Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo on May 28 was invited to a lunch by Fong Chi-wai, Economic and Trade Office (Tokyo) principal representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
Fong expressed his satisfaction with the relationship developing between the JCP and the Economic and Trade Tokyo Office which opened five years ago, adding that he had been looking forward to meeting Fuwa in order to deepen his understanding of Japan.
Topics of their conversation ranged from Japanese customs, politics, and the present economic situation. Fuwa also explained recent political developments, including the parliamentary struggle against the wartime legislation. (end)
