Shii meets with Chinese ambassador

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo and Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi met with Wu Dawei, Chinese Ambassador to Japan, on June 14 at the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo.

Topics of their discussion ranged from relations between Japan and China and the domestic situation in each country to international problems.

Wu, who took up his post last August, expressed his hope that the diplomatic relations between Japan and China, which were restored 30 years ago, will keep on developing in the future.

Shii explained the JCP's opinion on the several problems which have happened recently between Japan and China. (end)
