JCP chair receives Vietnam ambassador
Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Vu Dung on July 15 visited the Japanese Communist Party headquarters building to meet JCP Chair Shii Kazuo, and handed a congratulatory message from the Communist Party of Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the JCP founding.
Shii extended his gratitude for the warm message to the CPV.
Dung explained the present situation of the ongoing Doi Moi which aims at constructing a socialism through the market economy.
Shii, pointing out that bilateral relations developed in the anti-Vietnam War movements, expressed his wish for further development. Shii also said he pays notice to an unprecedented attempt to pursue socialism in the Vietnamese way.
Vietnamese Counsellor Doan Ngoc Canh and JCP International Bureau Vice-head Morihara Kimitoshi were also present at the talk. (end)
