Visiting Chinese high-tech base
Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo on August 28 visited Zhongguancun, a high-tech industrial park known as "Chinese Silicon Valley," in Beijing's northwest district.
Zhongguancun is a center for cutting edge high technology, biotechnology, environmental engineering, and the development of new materials. About 10,000 companies and institutes are operating in this science park of 100-square kilometers.
Fuwa visited an exhibition room of Lianxiang Group, China's largest IT firm with about 12,000 employees, whose average age is 28. (end)
