Drunken U.S. marine nabbed for hit-run
Okinawa Police on September 8 arrested U.S. Marine Joseph Parker, assigned to the U.S. Camp Courtney in Okinawa, on suspicion of drunk driving and hit-and-run accident involving a boy on a motorbike.
The victim was seriously injured with a skull fracture.
A 32-year old master sergeant while driving under the influence of alcohol, reportedly drove away after hitting the 16-year old high school student on a motorbike, at about 4 a.m on Route 58 in Chatan Town. (end)
