JCP chair meets with Indian ambassador
Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on October 2 had a dinner meeting with Aftab Seth, the Indian Ambassador to Japan.
Shii expressed his hope that the 50-year-old relations between the two countries will further develop, adding that the JCP will do its utmost to contribute to increase Japan-India relations as well as to peace in Asia and elsewhere.
Emphasizing that a great possibility lies ahead for cooperation between India and Japan, Seth stated it is necessary for the JCP and the Indian Embassy to work together to strengthen such cooperation.
Ogata Yasuo, JCP International Bureau director and House of Councilors member, also attended the meeting. (end)
