JCP message to CPC congress

The Japanese Communist Party sent a message to the Communist Party of China on the occasion of the CPC 16th Congress which opened in Beijing on November 8. Following is a translation of the message:

The Central Committee of the Japanese Communist Party offers its congratulations to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the holding of the CPC 16th National Congress.

We are pleased to see fruitful relations of friendship and exchange developing between our two parties following the normalization of JCP-CPC relations in 1998. It is our desire to see this relationship help further develop friendship between the Japanese and Chinese peoples and contribute to strengthening the peace in Asia and the rest of the world.

We wish you great success in the CPC 16th National Congress worthy of the first CPC congress in the 21st century. (end)
