Shii visits Sri Lankan ambassador

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on December 13 visited Sri Lankan Ambassador to Japan Karunatilaka Amunugama at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tokyo.

Regarding his plan to visit Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan from December 15, Shii told the ambassador that he wants to discuss issues of Iraq, world peace, and bilateral relationship between Japan and Sri Lanka.

The ambassador expressed his expectation that the JCP's tour to the region will result in a fruitful achievement and gave Shii a brief description of Sri Lankan politics and economy. (end)
