Shii talks with Communist Party of Sri Lanka leader

In Colombo, Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo addressed the 17th Congress of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka on December 21.

He also had a meeting with Communist Party of Sri Lanka leadership members, including Dew Gunaasekera, CPSL general secretary.

Commending the CPSL's contribution to the peace process toward ending the 20-year-long ethnic war, he underlined the importance of the peaceful resolution of disputes.

Gunaasekera explained how the CPSL has contributed to the peace process. (end)
