Gensuikyo in Tokyo calls for withdrawal of U.S. & British troops from Iraq

Exhibiting photos showing Baghdad citizens' suffering under the raids and bombings by the U.S. and British forces, members of the Japan Council against A and H Bombs (Japan Gensuikyo) took to the street in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo on April 11, which attracted attention of passers-by.

One of the photos shows a 12-year-old boy whose two arms were cut off by the U.S. raid on April 6.

A Gensuikyo staff member said that atrocious U.S. weapons are robbing Iraqi citizens of their peaceful life and their dreams, and called for an immediate withdrawal of the U.S. troops from Iraq.

A youth from a chorus group joined in the action to sing peace songs.
