JCP Ogata visits Tunisian Ambassador

Ogata Yasuo, Japanese Communist Party Upper House member and International Bureau director, on July 2 visited Tunisian Ambassador to Japan Salah Hannachi at the Tunisian Embassy in Tokyo.

Hannachi explained Tunisia's foreign policies to Ogata, including its effort to solve the Iraq problem peacefully.

Recalling the meeting between JCP Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo and Tunisian Foreign Minister Habib Ben Yahia held in Tokyo two years ago, the ambassador said that his country has paid close attention to the JCP's activities.

Both Ogata and Hannachi were pleased to see friendship developing between the JCP and Tunisia. (end)
