JCP Fuwa talks with CPC delegate in Tunis

Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo, now visiting Tunisia to attend the Congress of the ruling Constitutional Democratic Rally, on July 30 in Tunis held talks with a Communist Party of China representative.

Ma Wenpu, vice director of the CPC International Department, conveyed greetings from Hu Jintao, CPC general secretary and China's president, to Fuwa . Ma said that the 1998 normalization of relations between the JCP and the CPC and subsequent developments played an important part in the friendship between Japan and China, and wished for JCP-CPC relations to be further developed.

Fuwa and Ma informed each other of international activities of their parties concerning the Middle East, the Islamic world, and other countries in Asia. (end)
