JCP Ichida receives Vietnam National Assembly delegation
Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi received a Vietnamese parliamentarian delegation on August 7 at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
The delegation led by Truong Quang Duoc, vice-president of the National Assembly, was visiting Japan on a study tour focusing on Japan's national budget process and land problems.
Duoc said that the Vietnamese National Assembly is now on the way to establishing a legislative system for running the national economy.
Referring to the JCP's interest in the Vietnamese road to socialism through a market economy, Ichida explained the draft revised JCP Program, which gives Japan's socialism through a market economy a clearer definition.
Ichida also said the draft JCP Program also shows how to carry out a democratic transformation of Japanese society, citing the goals of building an independent Japan ending its subservience to the United States and moving away from large business-oriented politics to people-first policies.
After the talks, in response to the Vietnamese delegation's request, the JCP's Sasaki Kensho, member of the House of Representatives of the Diet, explained the JCP's economic policies, future outlook, budgetary process for Japan, and land problems in Japan. (end)
