New Pakistani ambassador visits JCP
Kamran Niaz, the new Pakistani ambassador to Japan, visited Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo at JCP headquarters on September 8.
This was their second meeting after December 2002 when Shii led a JCP delegation to Pakistan and had a discussion with Niaz, the additional secretary of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan at the time.
The JCP chair and the new Pakistani ambassador discussed the issue of peace in Asia and the rest of the world and the importance of dialogues between different cultures.
Niaz said that the amount of time for the JCP delegations in Pakistan to have discussions with Pakistani officials was very limited last December, but that he is looking forward to exchanging views from time to time with the JCP. (end)
