JCP chair meets with a CPC representative

Japanese Communist Party Executive Committee Chair Shii Kazuo on September 22 met with Li Jun, the director general of the No.2 Bureau of the Communist Party of China International Department, at the JCP head office in Tokyo.

In explaining JCP activities, Shii said the party, with the coming general election in mind, is focusing on the issues of the adverse revision of the Constitution, an increase of the consumption tax rate, and the proposed dispatch of the Self-Defense Forces to Iraq. (end)
