Fukuoka City Assembly adopts statement calling for job creation for youth
In the deepening job crisis, the Fukuoka City Assembly in western Japan on September 22 adopted a unanimous statement urging the central government to take drastic measures to help increase job opportunities for young people.
The adopted statement had been proposed by the Japanese Communist Party in the city assembly.
Pointing out that the number of jobs available for young people has been enormously decreasing, the statement urged the government to establish vocational training systems for young job seekers and encourage companies to hire more young workers. (end)
