Buddhists protest against MD
On November 20 when the Japan-U.S. Defense Strategy Conference started, Buddhists of the Japan Buddha Sangha and their followers protested against the "Japanese version of neo-conservatives' event".
Playing drums and holding a banner that read, "No more war! No violence!", about 15 protesters staged a demonstration around the Constitution Museum where the conference took place.
Warning that not many citizens are aware of the government's right-wing policies, a participant said that he wants to help people become aware of such dangerous policies. (end)
