JCP sends message to Communist Party of Slovakia 5th Congress

The following is the Japanese Communist Party's message to the 5th Congress of the Communist Party of Slovakia (June 26-27, Bratislava ):

The Japanese Communist Party Central Committee brings you its warmest greetings of solidarity on the occasion of the 5th Congress of the Communist Party of Slovakia. We wish you great success in the Congress which has an important bearing on the peopleﾕs struggle to defend their rights and living conditions and develop democracy. We earnestly hope that you will make further progress in the struggle for the dissolution of military alliances and the establishment of peace.

We are making every effort to establish an international order for peace based on the U.N. Charter and in opposition to the U.S. policies of hegemony, including its aggression against Iraq and the ensuing military occupation. While working to solve the immediate problems facing the Japanese people, we are striving to achieve a democratic change in Japan's politics, economy, and society.

We hope that relations between our two parties will be further developed through various exchanges to deepen our mutual understanding concerning an outlook on socialism and world peace. (end)
