Fuwa receives Venezuelan ambassador leaving Japan Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo received Venezuelan Ambassador to Japan Carlos Bivero Garcia, who is leaving Japan, on November 24 at the JCP head office. Fuwa stated that the ambassador's attendance at the JCP 23rd Congress was a milestone in the JCP's relations with Venezuela, and appreciated the ambassadors' efforts made over the last four years. Expressing his thanks for the friendship the JCP extended to him, the ambassador stated that he ought to have known more about the JCP much earlier. Ambassador Bivero explained the recent political situation in Venezuela, including the successful national referendum on President Hugo Chavez, as well as the outlook for developing reform in Venezuela.
