Ceremony held for the completion of new JCP head office building A ceremony for the completion of the new Japanese Communist Party head office building was held on February 1st. Speaking to the participants that included neighborhood representatives, owners of nearby shops, as well as constructors, Shii Kazuo, JCP Executive Committee chair, said, "This new building is commensurate with the role the JCP has to play in the 21st century." The 11-story building will not only house JCP offices but serve as a meeting place of the party and the public. It includes a conference hall with a capacity of 500. About four billion yen, which is half of the total cost, has been donated by party members, supporters and Akahata subscribers. (end) |
