JCP Ogata holds talks with Venezuelan parties Japanese Communist Party International Bureau Director Ogata Yasuo on February 28 during his visit to Venezuela held talks with leaders of Venezuela's governing parties at the foreign ministry office. The talks took place at the proposal of Venezuelan Vice Foreign Minister William E. Izarra who met Ogata two days earlier. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Fifth Republic Movement (MVR), the Patria Para Todos (PPT), and other parties Ogata stated that the JCP is vigorously developing "opposition party diplomacy," increased exchanges with Asian and Arab/Islamic countries, and has great interest in the situation of Latin America, including Venezuela. Both sides agreed to further exchange information of mutual concern such as evolving poliitical situations and on-going activities. (end) |
