JCP representative attends Communist Party of India Congress

The Japanese Communist Party sent a message of solidarity to the Communist Party of India on the occasion of the CPI19th Congress held March 29-April 3 in Chandigal.

Morihara Kimitoshi, deputy director of the JCP International Bureau, attended the CPI Congress and read the message on behalf of the JCP Central Committee.

The message expressed hope for the success of the CPI 19th Congress which is being held at a time when there are new possibilities that have the potential to realize policies to safeguard the public interests and reinvigorate IndiaÕs non-aligned foreign policy.

It also pointed out that movements against hegemonism are now emerging in Asia, Latin America and other regions, pursuing for a just order of peace based on the principles of the United Nations Charter. "In this we see the non-aligned countries and the countries aiming for socialism playing an important role. We are convinced that the people-centered political change you are pursuing in India will greatly help the moves in this direction," it added. (end)
