Tunisian ambassador visits Fuwa Japanese Communist Party Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo on September 20 met with Tunisian Ambassador to Japan Salah Hannachi at the JCP head office in Tokyo. Hannachi was visiting Fuwa to convey Tunisian President Ben Ali's thanks for Fuwa's books in English, including Seven Days in Tunisia, which had been expressed in a letter delivered earlier to Fuwa. The ambassador also handed Fuwa a letter from the Constitutional Democratic Rally (Rassemblement Constitutionnel DŽmocratique), Tunisia's governing party, informing Fuwa that Hedi M'henni was appointed secretary general of the RCD. Referring to the letter expressing the RCD's determination to increase friendship and fruitful cooperation with the JCP, Fuwa said, "We share the same sentiment regarding the friendly relationship between our two parties." -- Akahata, September 21, 2005 |
