 Communist Party of ChinaJapanese Communist Party Central Executive Committee Chair Shii Kazuo on September 26 held talks with visiting Li Jun, Communist Party of China International Liaison Department Second Section chief. Li appreciated the JCP for putting up a good fight in the recent general election while expressing concerns about negative impacts the Japanese election will have on Japan-China relations. Shii explained how the JCP campaigned in the general election as well as its results. He also spoke about the JCP views on the issues of constitutional revision, tax increases, and foreign policy. Shii and Li agreed that the two parties will increase exchanges in theoretical and organizational fields. -- Akahata, September 27, 2005 |
