JCP Fuwa meets with new Venezuelan ambassador Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo on September 29 met with new Venezuelan Ambassador Seiko Luis Ishikawa at the JCP head office. Ishikawa said that there is a great deal of common ground between the JCP and the Venezuelan government on the cause of political change and outlook on the world and that Venezuela is making great efforts to solve social problems. Referring to the World Festival of Youth and Students held in August in Caracas and the Japanese youth delegation's participation in it, Fuwa said he is content with increasing exchanges between Japan and Venezuela. Fuwa also stated that the Venezuelan Revolution, supported by a majority of the Venezuelan people, has great significance not only for the country's future but also for all of Latin America. The Venezuelan Revolution making steady advances through gaining public support in elections is impressive, Fuwa added. The ambassador stated that the peaceful and popular revolution is underway as a new process returning the profits from Venezuela's rich natural resources and wealth to the general public. -- Akahata, September 30, 2005 |
