Teachers hold rally calling for the defense of Fundamental Law of Education About 3,500 people, mainly teachers, held a rally in Tokyo on December 3 to increase the struggle to stop the government move to introduce a bill to adversely revise the Fundamental Law of Education. The rally was sponsored by a liaison council that teachers unions with different national affiliations formed to strengthen the struggle to stop the adverse revision of the basic law of education. Participants from around the country gave a round of applause when the organizers called for "action at one thousand locations throughout the country by the end of March next year." - Akahata, December 4, 2005 |
