Shii attends India's Republic Day reception Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on January 27 participated in a reception to celebrate India's Republic Day held at the Indian ambassador's residence. Expressing his congratulations to Ambassador Manilal Tripathi, Shii said, "I'm happy to see India's relations with Pakistan and China improving since I visited India 3 years ago." JCP Vice-Chair Ogata Yasuo and International Bureau Vice-Director Morihara Kimitoshi also participated in the reception.
