Suspect U.S. sailor indicted for murder The Yokohama Prosecutor's Office on January 27 indicted William Oliver Reese, a sailor from the U.S. aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk, on murder-robbery charges. Prosecutors said Reese on the early morning of January 3 beat and robbed 56-year-old Sato Yoshie of her bag on a street of Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. He dragged the resisting woman into a multi-tenant building to fatally beat her in the abdomen. After killing the woman, the sailor stole 15,000 yen from her bag. - Akahata, January 28, 2006 |
