2 U.S. personnel arrested for robbery

The U.S. Marine Corps in Okinawa on January 27 announced that two U.S. military personnel were arrested on suspicion of robbery at the U.S. Camp Zukeran in Chatan Town in central Okinawa.

Before dawn on January 7, the suspects called a taxi in front of the camp's barracks and threatened the driver with a knife into handing over the sales of about 5,000 yen.

The U.S. Marines explained that they questioned more than 350 servicemen and found the suspects from examining hours of surveillance tapes.
