3,000 people demand adverse revision of education law be scrapped

In a situation that the current Diet session will end in about two weeks, a national rally was held in Tokyo on June 2 in order to scrap a bill to adversely revise the Fundamental Law of Education. 3,000 people took part in the rally, representing teachers unions irrespective of national affiliation as well as a wide range of grassroots organizations.

He warned against any optimistic view of the situation in the Diet and called on the participants to struggle strenuously until the bill is scrapped.
