JCP took to the streets in opposition to adverse revision of education law The Japanese Communist Party Tokyo Metropolitan Committee took to the streets at 300 railway stations in Tokyo on June 2 to appeal to citizens to oppose to the bill to adversely revise the Fundamental Law of Education. JCP Dietmembers and candidates as well as party leaders took the microphone to call on passers-by to block the adverse revision, revealing the dangerous aim of the governmental bill as well as the realities of schools in Tokyo in which malrevision has been implemented in advance with the introduction of the academic aptitude test and the forced hoisting of the "Hinomaru" flag and singing of "Kimigayo". - Akahata, June 3, 2006 |
