Kiko gives birth to boy

Kiko, the wife of the Emperor's younger son Akishinonomiya, in Tokyo on September 6 gave birth to a boy who becomes the third in line to the throne.

Asked by reporters about Kiko's giving birth, Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo in Seoul on the same day commented, "The birth of a healthy baby is a joyful event. I hope the mother and baby enjoy good health."
