Shii meets DKP representative at Akahata Festival site

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo at the Akahata Festival site on November 5 met with Manfred Idler, an international commission member of the German Communist Party (DKP) who was taking part in the festival as the representative of his party.

Idler commented on the Akahata Festival saying, "This festival is full of vitality and dynamism."

Referring to the JCP's programmatic line, Shii said that the JCP has been developing its theoretical activities by always consulting the original works of Marx and Engels, who were born in Germany. Shii expressed his hope that the DKP will make further advances in its theoretical and political activities.

Idler explained the DKP's theoretical activities, referring to the fact that surveys show that in Germany Marx is regarded as the second most important theoretician.
